Chapter 552 - 550
Chapter 552 - 550
Mars could not make sense of what was happening in front of her, but she understood one thing clearly enough: her mission was about to be interrupted. And yet, as Team Galactic's strongest commander, how could she possibly lose to one young man and one kid?
Still, Mars vaguely sensed that other eyes were on this place too, hidden among the panicked yet curious Jubilife City onlookers.
"This is strange. We were the ones staking this place out. We investigated carefully and knew Professor Rowan would definitely be leaving through here sometime in the next few days. So why didn't Rowan show up in the end? Why was there only one assistant and one meaningless backpacker?"
"A backpacker? Or a Hiker? Either way, anyone who stands against Team Galactic won't end well!"
That was what she said, but the truth was that with the Sinnoh League conducting such a thorough investigation, Team Galactic found every move inconvenient.
Still, Boss Cyrus had not changed the original plan - seize energy and star-related Pokémon, unlock the secret of evolutionary energy, and build the bomb. The only thing that needed changing was the timing.
That was not because he was rigid or incapable of adapting, but because...
Compared to other regions, Sinnoh was a little rural.
After all, it had only developed over the last century or so. In older ages, its history might as well have been myth itself.
The largest power plant in all of Sinnoh was the Valley Windworks. It provided nearly half the region's electricity. The other half came from Sunyshore City.
So if they were not going to attack Sunyshore City, then the only option was the Valley Windworks.
And the reason they would not attack Sunyshore was not because some Namikaze Minato lived there...
It was because:
"Sunyshore City is Cyrus's hometown."
Mars had been thinking exactly that when Hikaru's words made her freeze on the spot. Her expression changed violently.
Mind reading?!
How could he know what she was thinking?
"You're definitely wondering right now how I could read minds, aren't you? Actually, I have no idea what you're thinking. I just saw your expression change and knew you were considering the next step in your plan."
Hikaru said, "Mars... do you have an ancestor named Arezu?"
Back in the Hisui era, Arezu of the Galaxy Team had considerable strength. The shape of her face, the look of her eyes, even her hairstyle all resembled Mars to a surprising degree. The Pokémon and the names were unrelated, of course.
But their lines did have something in common.
Arezu was a positive, hardworking, humble woman. Mars was a tired, hardworking woman who was also not rude, and after battle she would still say, "Excuse me."
In the manga, Mars also had plenty of big-sister energy. No matter what happened, she stayed calm and collected. Even after being defeated, she never showed outright panic.
Come to think of it, she was clearly a very pretty woman, yet in popularity she could not compare to Jupiter at all.
Maybe it was because Jupiter felt more lively, said more interesting things, and gave off more of a girlish vibe. Mars just came across as too mature.
In the Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire remakes, the second-generation Courtney also clearly seemed to draw on some of Jupiter's personality.
"An ancestor...? How would I know that? More importantly, why do you know who I am?" Mars's face grew serious. She did not answer Hikaru, nor did she continue down that train of thought. But she could sense something very unusual about him.
He was just standing there, yet he radiated a powerful aura.
Of course, Hikaru knew she would not feel any sense of familiarity toward him. That was because Mars's ancestors were outsiders. The ancestors of Jubilife and of the Galaxy Team as a whole were outsiders. They were not the people of Shenhe. They were pioneers.
"If you won't answer, then I'll force the truth out of you!"
Mars threw a Poké Ball and sent out her classic partner: an absolutely illegal Skuntank!
It was called illegal because Mars's Skuntank had not even reached the normal evolution level.
Her Skuntank appeared at only around level 20 or 22, but under normal circumstances Stunky did not evolve into Skuntank until level 34.
Then again, illegal Pokémon had basically been standard practice for villain teams and even Elite Four members throughout the generations. That bad habit went all the way back to Lance's Barrier Dragonite and Rock Slide Aerodactyl.
Of course, this Skuntank's actual level here should be somewhere between 46 and 60.
Thinking about it that way, Dawn beating Mars senseless in the Eterna Building with a bunch of unevolved Pokémon really was ridiculous.
The descendant of a super-Hisui human was not to be underestimated.
"Skuntank builds its nest by digging into the ground. It stores up foul fluid in its belly, and when confronting prey, it sprays an unbelievably foul-smelling liquid from the tip of its tail..."
"The longer the liquid ferments inside its belly, the worse the smell becomes. If it fires repeatedly, the stench weakens. It can spray for more than fifty meters."
Hikaru suddenly began explaining. Mars and the two grunts froze. Lucas did too.
"Uh... Big bro, you know way too much about Pokémon ecology. Wait! This is not the time to be teaching them Pokémon trivia!"
"The kid's right. What exactly are you thinking?" Even Mars was thrown off by this move. But Hikaru pointed toward the sky.
"You're the one asking that? The battle has already started."
"Ecology is an important part of what makes a Pokémon what it is. It can even determine victory or defeat in an instant. And I'm not done yet. Skuntank can spray a great distance, but when it comes to attacks from above, it tends to panic!"
"Your Skuntank's Ability is Stench! When it damages an opponent with a move, there is a 10% chance the target will flinch. Every hit in a multi-hit move has the same chance!"
"And when it's placed in the party, the chance of encountering wild Pokémon drops! As a Poison/Dark-type Pokémon, its weakness is-"
"Ground!"
The moment Mars heard the word ground, she instinctively looked downward. Then she suddenly remembered Hikaru's warning and snapped her head back up.
A violent gale exploded outward, blinding both the sky and the ground. By the time Mars realized something was diving down, it was already too late.
The Immortal Ancient Dragon descended from the chaotic world itself, roaring as it struck with stone wings and steel-rending fangs.
"Raaah!"
Aerodactyl crashed down at meteoric speed! And because of its own body ecology, Skuntank could not properly angle both its head and tail upward to fire back!
"Earthquake!"
A Pokémon that could fly wildly through the air and still unleash a high-powered Ground-type move!
Aerodactyl's wings smashed violently into the ground. Its hard stone wings, combined with the Rock Head Ability, meant it took no recoil at all!
"Aerodactyl?!"
Mars was shocked. This was not the kind of Pokémon an ordinary person could own!
The Old Amber used to revive Aerodactyl was an extremely rare thing. At least in Sinnoh, the odds of finding one in the Underground or the Oreburgh Mine were tiny, and not every single piece of amber even held Aerodactyl genetic material.
And Sinnoh had only just recently introduced fossil revival machines!
Mars herself was seeing a fossil Pokémon for the first time.
She immediately looked toward her Skuntank and discovered that the partner she had fought beside for so many years had lost the ability to battle in a flash after taking that single hit.
"How can this be?!"
Mars could not believe it. She was Team Galactic's strongest commander. Naturally her Pokémon were of a very high tier. Since joining Team Galactic and beginning her operations, her Skuntank had never once been one-shot.
And the opponent had not even used a same-type move!
The stench around Skuntank started to spread, but then -
Aerodactyl opened its jaws, and a furious dragon-laced gale burst from its body like a tidal storm!
Hikaru said, "Dragon Breath!"
The powerful blast, carrying the paralyzing might of dragon power, blew the foul smell away and swept the two grunts' Pokémon over in one go.
One level 11 Stunky. One level 11 Glameow. In front of an Aerodactyl around level 60, they had absolutely no power to resist.
And Mars was not the only one stunned.
Lucas and the Chimchar he had just sent out were also frozen in wide-eyed shock.
What did he mean, fight together...?
The enemy had just been erased at the start!
"This is bad. This guy's not normal!"
Mars instantly realized the gap in strength. Then she noticed Hikaru's backpack, covered in dozens of shrunken Poké Balls, and a horrible thought occurred to her.
If those Poké Balls were just there for catching Pokémon, that would be one thing.
But what if...
Every single one of them already contained a Pokémon?!
"Tangrowth!"
Mars suddenly sent out a new Pokémon. Its massive body looked like a giant made of vines.
Tangrowth's main color was deep blue. It had three-fingered vine hands, thick short legs, and dark red extremities. Its entire body was wrapped in long vines, giving it the appearance of a tangled mass of weeds. Female Tangrowth have longer red vine sections in their hands.
Hikaru said, "Oh! Now that is impressive!"
"The warmer the climate where Tangrowth lives, the faster its vines grow, to the point that even its eyes get covered. And yet its evolved form was first discovered here in cold Sinnoh. In theory, it ought to have appeared in Hoenn instead!"
"And yet in warm Hoenn it's actually quite hard to spot them, while in temperate, four-seasoned Unova they can be found much more easily!"
The moment Hikaru saw this Tangrowth, he immediately sensed something was off.
Team Galactic's commanders - no, really, the commanders of nearly every villain organization - had teams that were too similar to each other. To the protagonist, they all blurred together. They were basically repeatable EXP packs with no real individuality.
But in the manga, in order to flesh out their personalities and show traits never displayed in the games or anime, their Pokémon rosters were adjusted.
For example, their original three-Pokémon teams were expanded to six, or given unique additional Pokémon.
Just like Mars's Tangrowth.
Hikaru remembered this Tangrowth very clearly. If it was the same as in the manga, then this partner of Mars's had mastered the third of the three natural moves - and was extremely skilled with it!
"Tangrowth!" Mars immediately shoved a Berry into Tangrowth's hands. In the next moment, move energy completely different from Tangrowth's own typing exploded from its body.
"Natural Gift!"
Hikaru said, "Just as I thought. This isn't the game roster. It's been strengthened."
After all, if they had been using the normal game roster, Dawn would just have kicked them to the curb as roadside fodder.
A huge torrent of water suddenly erupted from Tangrowth's vines. It blasted toward Aerodactyl like a Water Pulse or Water Gun barrage, weaving a dense net of water through the air!
Rock's weakness was Water.
Natural Gift, Water-type!
But a red beam moved even faster. Aerodactyl made a mocking sound, even pulling down one eyelid in a taunting face, then vanished into the beam and was recalled. In the same instant, another Pokémon was sent out in its place!
"So fast!" Mars was startled by the speed of the swap, while Hikaru raised the device on his arm.
Control rig, miss.
Product of Norman. Guaranteed quality.
"Go, Wo-Chien!"
The little snail that loved collecting other people's dirt came out. Most of the time, Wo-Chien just stayed in its Master Ball chatting and messing around, but now...
It was time to fight!
[I am not skilled in battle.]
That was what the little snail said, though among the Four Ruinous Pokémon it really was not the best battler. There were just too many Kamen Riders in Paldea. Go outside for a walk and you might get flying-kicked in the face.
But now that they were in Sinnoh, a place overflowing with Water, Grass, and Electric types, was this not basically its comfort zone?
The Water-type Natural Gift hit Wo-Chien, but the calm, faintly disdainful look in the little snail's eyes immediately made Tangrowth feel fear.
Something was wrong with this Pokémon's presence.
An incredibly terrifying emotion was rising around it... Tangrowth could feel its HP draining away in an instant. Even its strength seemed to be weakening!
Hikaru said, "Its Ability is Tablets of Ruin. Through the power of the disaster-calling tablets, it lowers the Attack of every Pokémon except itself."
"Little Snail embodies resentment. Your crimes are already beyond count! And because of that, the moment it entered battle, Grudge took effect!"
The PP of the opponent's last-used move dropped by 4!
"Knock Off!"
Hikaru saw Mars trying to shove another Berry in, so he immediately had the little snail use Knock Off. In an instant, the ground exploded with creeping vines, and one of them lashed out so fast it staggered Tangrowth!
Wo-Chien: [Without permission, you may not use that. Hah... something more interesting has been added. Let this victory be carved into history.]
Against a target that did not resist Dark, this STAB Knock Off, with its doubled power against a held item, hit with brutal force!
Tangrowth's physical Defense was as high as 125, but the strike still dealt very real damage.
Still, based on raw strength alone, the little snail - not particularly battle-inclined - was not overwhelmingly stronger than Tangrowth. Their level difference was probably within ten levels.
And after hearing Wo-Chien's low whisper, the usual dullness in Tangrowth's face changed visibly!
The Wo-Chien in front of it kept radiating some ominous force. It felt as though the vines on Tangrowth's body were about to wither away. But that power did not seem ready to erupt fully just yet. It was being veiled by some kind of sacred aura, leaving Tangrowth trembling uncontrollably.
"Level 60-ish Tangrowth... Little Snail is probably around 68. The Four Ruinous Pokémon do start at pretty high levels, after all."
"It's normal for you to be afraid of Little Snail." Hikaru noticed Tangrowth trembling and smiled. "Wo-Chien has the power to make forests wither instantly. That's ecological suppression between Pokémon. So as a forest-system Pokémon, your fear of Little Snail is only natural."
"What you've sensed is its true power, hidden beneath the strength of White Forest..."
Then he turned back to Mars, whose lips were pressed tight, expression severe.
"The first Water-type Natural Gift came from the Berry you used - a Sitrus Berry. And the item you just tried to feed it, oh? A Watmel Berry instead of a Cheri Berry? So you chose a Bug-type attack rather than aiming for Fire?"
"Your battle instincts are sharp."
Hikaru praised Mars, but to her it felt like a humiliating insult.
"Don't mess with me! Since when is being praised by you some kind of honor?!"
Mars gritted her teeth. She really had, in that instant, judged that the opponent was probably weak to Bug. The Dark-type aura had practically been spilling out of it!
And besides, Grass/Dark Pokémon were fairly common in other regions.
Nuzleaf. Shiftry. Cacturne. All dual Grass/Dark types.
More importantly, after only a brief exchange, Mars had already begun to feel intense fear.
It was as if the entire rhythm of battle was in the opponent's hands.
This battle was nothing more than... being toyed with.
That meant the gap between them was enormous.
Hikaru said, "I really was praising you. To instantly judge the opponent's typing and use the matching Natural Gift as the optimal answer - it seems your past experience is quite extensive too."
"By the way, Mars, Natural Gift is a move that was lost after the Hisui era. In Sinnoh, the number of Pokémon that can still learn it by level-up is extremely small, and Tangrowth is one of the most representative examples. It's even been called the King of the Forest!"
"From this point on, I've got my eye on you."
He had not expected to run into a Tangrowth in this world so proficient with Natural Gift. The final missing piece of the three natural moves had appeared!
And hearing Hikaru say that sent a sudden chill through Mars's heart.
Usually Team Galactic were the ones targeting others, yet now someone had openly declared that he was targeting her - especially someone so mysterious and dangerous.
This was very, very bad.
Hikaru said, "Little Snail, use Ruination!"
Wo-Chien's eyes flashed, and emotional energy thick with resentment surged in from all directions like terrible claws.
As the bitter hatred invaded it, Tangrowth's HP was cut straight in half. Its pupils went unfocused, and then in the next instant -
Thick smoke and dust exploded across the battlefield!
"Oh. Dig and Smokescreen. Skuntank's burrowing-den ecology. Since it's the kind of Pokémon that nests underground, it digs incredibly fast. Mars, remember to give Mr. Cyrus my regards."
Hikaru looked at the giant hole that had suddenly opened up. A huge crater now sat in the street of Jubilife City, which gave him a rather delicate thought.
"Though using Dig to escape... aren't there sewers under this city? How undignified. Well, I suppose someone who uses Skuntank would not care much about sewer smell."
Treating Jubilife's underground like Castelia's sewer system, huh...
"And destroying public facilities means when they catch you, you'll have to pay damages before you even start serving your sentence."
Hikaru had not really intended to capture Mars outright anyway. She still needed to provide Dawn with some EXP later. She was basically just a mobile experience pack.
Besides, with Tangrowth in the mix, did this not resemble the manga setup a little? That made Hikaru suddenly much more interested in Mars herself.
"Still, these two kidnapping grunts are caught. So overwhelmed with fear that they completely abandoned their own subordinates? What a shame. Team Galactic grunts know absolutely nothing about what their superiors are really planning, so catching them won't amount to much."
"Still, I suppose they count as International Police kill credit. A grunt's headcount is still a headcount."
Hikaru turned toward Lucas, who had long since frozen in place, so stunned that he had not managed to make even a single move.
"Sorry, sorry. I didn't even give you a chance to fight! But at least you're safe."
"To prevent Team Galactic from attacking you again, do you want to wait a little before heading out?"
Hikaru pointed to the other side, where Keith and Looker were approaching. The moment Lucas saw Looker, he froze, then pointed.
"Ah! You're that weird adu- that weird International Police guy! So this time too, thank you all so much!"
"Ahem! We meet again! Though honestly, you really do speak before you think." Looker nodded.
Lucas looked embarrassed. "...Sorry. I was just so angry a second ago that I still haven't quite settled down."
That was because, in the original plot, Dawn and Lucas had met Looker when they first arrived in Jubilife City.
"So when you say wait a little, you mean I'm supposed to give him a ride? Though I guess that's fine. As long as the mission gets completed."
Keith shrugged. She did not mind Hikaru subtly assigning her a task, because Rangers were always running around helping people anyway. Having Staraptor carry this kid to Canalave City would barely count as effort.
Hikaru said, "Sorry, Ms. Keith. That kind of sounds like I'm giving orders above my rank."
Keith replied, "It's fine, it's fine. No big deal! Honestly, in that sense you're kind of like a Top Ranger too. Top Rangers, me included, are always charging off and picking up random roadside quests on our own."
Hikaru smiled helplessly.
That part was true enough. In the Ranger games, those Rangers basically accepted every request under the sun. They were practically the Pokémon world's ultimate errand demons.
"Officer Jenny and the police are here..." Looker looked toward the flashing patrol lights in the distance and nodded to the others. "I'll handle the follow-up and the handoff from here. You all still have an important mission. We can't delay you."
"This battle will also be recorded and reported to headquarters! Even if all we caught were two insignificant, foolish little grunts... at least now we finally have a lead!"
"And also, Lord Hikaru - no, Lord Shield! I finally understand why headquarters gave you that codename!"
"The invincible king's shield, an absolute defense no enemy or attack can break through! With a teammate like that, you can relax completely!"
Hikaru said, "You flatter me. There are a lot of real powerhouses in this world. I'm nowhere near the very top. But compared to the commanders of these mysterious organizations, I'm a little stronger."
A little.
Looker clicked his tongue. That felt far too modest. In fact, he had the distinct feeling that even the vile Guzzlord - the one that had once left him and Nanu at a terrible disadvantage and even killed one of their comrades - might not necessarily be a match for this young man.
"The next place Team Galactic may strike... the Valley Windworks?"
"That's right. Also Floaroma Town. And just to be safe, the Solaceon Ruins might see them too, as well as Celestic Town and Iron Island."
Listening to Hikaru's description left Looker speechless. He glanced toward Keith and found her wearing the same helpless smile.
All Looker could do was nod. "The accuracy of the information still needs to be verified, but it's already invaluable! Still... just as you said before, the International Police only sent one operative here. Me."
Looker kept scratching his head. "But punishing evil is the duty of the International Police! Even alone, I have to push forward! I'll notify everyone immediately and tell them to stay alert! Once things are finished here, I'm heading straight to the Valley Windworks!"
Beep beep beep -
Lucas's Pokétch suddenly rang. When he answered it, Professor Rowan's voice came through.
"Hello?! Lucas, what happened in Jubilife City?! I saw an emergency bulletin on TV saying there was an attack there!"
"And the three people with you... Hikaru and Keith are with you too? What an unbelievable coincidence! What exactly is going on?!"
"Hm. Looks like Jubilife TV moved fast."
Looker glanced toward a group of camera people in the distance.
"Well, this is one of the most modern cities in Sinnoh. Jubilife TV always loves grabbing the freshest material and snapping up breaking stories..."
"That's fine. I'll handle it. I'll make them delete some of the footage."
At that moment, Hikaru suddenly thought of something and said to Looker,
"Check Jubilife TV. There may be a Team Galactic mole inside."
In the games, the TV people who appear near Lake Verity with first-hand information might very well have been disguised Team Galactic members.
Looker's expression immediately turned stern. "Even that bad? They've infiltrated the TV station too..."
"Not entirely." Hikaru spread his hands. At least the TV reporters right now were ordinary people. In the game, after this battle, they would come over and hand out a little gift.
And now, just as expected, the same thing happened.
"Wow! That was really something, truly something! I'm from Jubilife TV-"
"Wait just a moment!" Looker immediately stepped in front of them. "We do not intend to answer any questions!"
"Uh..." The chubby TV man froze, looking awkward.
"No, that's not it. I just really enjoyed watching such a wonderful Pokémon battle, so I wanted to ask you to accept a gift from the station in return. This is an Accessories Case. It stores special Accessories. If your proud Pokémon wears them, it will become more stylish. Also, over at the broadcasting station we're currently running a Pokémon Dress-Up event and drawing activity, so if you have time, please..."
Looker waved him off and began negotiating with the TV staff, while Officer Jenny arrived on scene and, after speaking with Looker, shut down the ongoing news filming.
At that very moment, a girl finally came hurrying back into Jubilife City. She wore a white winter cap, a scarf, a white shoulder bag, and a pink winter outfit.
"...Looks like something happened?"
The instant that familiar figure entered Hikaru's line of sight, he immediately waved Keith over and pointed at the newcomer.
"Ah! There she is, Hikari!"
"Ah! Hello, hello! You two must be the people Professor Rowan said would meet me here, right? Mr. Hikaru, Ms. Keith, it's nice to meet you for the first time. I'm Dawn!"
"I'm sorry I'm late!"
Dawn stopped in front of Hikaru and Keith, breathing hard, cheeks a little red from exertion. She was dressed in her Platinum outfit.
The game-version Dawn, traveling alone. Rival to Barry. Sinnoh's second Champion-level Trainer after Cynthia, and someone who was soon going to form a bond with Giratina... Hikaru gave a small nod.
Hopefully, when Giratina saw her, it would not get so frightened that it bolted on the spot.
That face looked exactly like Akari's. A hundred and fifty years later, trauma would return.
Looking at it that way, by the time Ash reached the DP era, he would either be facing senior-Dawn, or he would be locked into a true-man showdown with Paul. Without Dawn there as a support unit, Ash's pressure level would rise even higher.
Though before that, once he reached Hoenn, Ash would probably be training alone too, maybe with only Brock tagging along. At that point it would turn into a pure guys' journey.
"No, you got here incredibly fast. I'm pretty sure Professor Rowan said you were still near Oreburgh earlier. Just how fast are your legs?"
Hikaru and Keith exchanged a glance, and Hikaru suddenly thought of something odd.
Wait. Should Barry not have reached Jubilife first? How did Dawn get back before him?
Dawn looked very excited. "Because when the Professor told me there was a Pokémon Egg, my heart started pounding and I just kept cheering myself on, saying, 'No problem, no problem,' and before I knew it, I was here!"
"But I... I've never actually raised a Pokémon Egg before. I'm still a beginner Trainer. Why was I specifically chosen to raise it?"
Keith looked at Hikaru and tilted her chin toward Dawn. "Yeah. Why is that? She definitely looks like a good kid, but she's still a beginner Trainer."
Keith was asking that on purpose. Dawn, too, looked at the two of them nervously. Not far away, Lucas saw Dawn and had wanted to come over and greet her, but it looked like the three of them were discussing something important, so he held back, curiosity written all over his face.
At the same time, Lucas was still talking with Professor Rowan, and his expression changed slightly.
Wait... Dawn was supposed to raise a Pokémon called the Prince of the Sea?
Lucas found that hard to believe. He had never even heard of such a Pokémon. And it was still in Egg form!
So why her?
Now even Lucas was dying to know.
Hikaru cleared his throat lightly.
Normally, this was the part where someone should probably say something like, you are Sinnoh's future, its rising hope, and so on. But saying that aloud would sound too strange.
Though in a factual sense, it would not really be wrong.
So after thinking it over a little, Hikaru gave his answer.
"Because I heard you're a positive, optimistic Trainer who likes taking care of others. Though you can also be a little scatterbrained, reckless, and impatient..."
That part came straight from Dawn's characterization in Pokémon Masters, though it fit the anime version pretty well too. Anime Dawn was always saying "No problem, no problem," to the point where even Ash once complained that, actually, there were in fact many problems.
The scatterbrained part really was in character.
Hikaru paused, then said seriously,
"And also, even if it sounds a little too much like fate, you actually have some connection to a certain Hero of the Sea from the past. So the one chosen to hatch this Egg... is you!"
Keith broke into a bright smile, her eyes curving warmly.
"That's exactly how it is! This Egg was discovered in the seas of Fiore, and after a long journey of drifting and hardship, it finally made it here. Now it's being entrusted to a Trainer worthy of trust!"
"All right! Prince of the Sea, escort mission complete!" Keith struck the standard Ranger pose.
At the same time, Hikaru suddenly realized something.
Right. Since he was about to take Dawn straight to the Old Chateau, that also meant...
He was going to have to do Cynthia's job.
Because this time, Cynthia probably would not be showing up.
Cynthia normally handed over HM01 in Eterna City.
And now, this too was exactly the same -
Hikaru said, "You're heading to Eterna Forest, right? We can talk while we walk. To get through the forest and cut away branches, this move is necessary."
"This is an ancient bracelet. With it, you can cut down any tree. One flash, and the trunk falls. Inside it is the recording for Hidden Machine 01..."
"Cut!"
