#639 - Chapter 14: Creator of Transformers

Liu Yuan recalled his past life, consumed by busy work and complicated family affairs, leaving him no time to watch any of the "Transformers" movies after the third installment.

He only occasionally came across related video clips on social media. Through these short snippets, he gained a general understanding of the subsequent plot developments.

It is said that billions of years ago, a supremely brilliant and splendid super-civilization was nurtured in the universe. This civilization's footprints covered the cosmos, with their mark left on every corner.

These creators possessed extraordinary technology; they could easily alter the overall structure of galaxies, as if playing with toys in their hands. They could also transform planets suitable for life and spread the seeds of life everywhere.

In the eyes of other civilizations, they were like lofty gods, their mastery of technology touching the fundamental laws of the universe. It was because of this that they were given the sacred and sublime title of "Creators."

As time passed, the original name of the Creator race was gradually buried in the river of history, becoming unknown. Moreover, even the new generation members of their own race were unaware of their former name.

As the saying goes, prosperity is followed by decline; all things in the world are subject to the cycle of rise and fall. Countless once-glorious interstellar civilizations inevitably faded away in the long river of time, disappearing into the depths of the universe, turning into insignificant dust.

And the once-invincible Creator race naturally could not escape this iron law. Although they tried their best to continue their former glory, they were only prolonging their existence on the road to decline, merely lasting a little longer in comparison.

To ensure the eternal continuation of their race, the great Creator civilization racked their brains and exhausted all means. Various novel and bold attempts emerged one after another, even to the point of completely changing their own life forms!

As a result, the Creator civilization branched out rapidly, like spreading branches and leaves. These branches scattered throughout the vast universe, advancing bravely along their chosen paths, tirelessly pursuing the mysteries of evolution.

One of these branches, after careful consideration and repeated experiments, resolutely abandoned their physical bodies. They chose a silicon-based life form—mechanical bodies—that could resist most harsh environmental influences. From that moment on, this mechanical branch began to diligently sow the seeds of life in the universe. Then, they waited silently, patiently awaiting the opportune moment to mature.

When those seeded planets finally successfully nurtured intelligent life and developed unique civilizations, this mechanical branch would quietly appear, transforming into calm and keen observers. They watched every step of these civilizations' development with rapt attention, not missing any detail, drawing valuable experience and a constant stream of inspiration from them.

However, if a planet did not develop a worthwhile civilization, or if intelligent life failed to emerge, the ruthless Creators would mercilessly harvest all life on that planet. Using "seeds," they would transform all organic matter on the planet into highly malleable transformium. After doing all this, the mechanical beings would continue their journey, seeking new targets, quietly waiting for the next rise of civilization.

The race to which Quintessa belonged was precisely such a mysterious and powerful branch of the Creator civilization. Over the long river of time, with their outstanding creativity and extraordinary wisdom, they successfully created two behemoth-like planetary lifeforms: Unicron and Primus.

Their high level of intelligence was astonishing, and the power they displayed even amazed the Creators. However, due to a lack of effective control measures over these two planetary beings, the two ended up fighting each other. They stirred up an apocalyptic storm in the vast universe, causing considerable turmoil and chaos.

Faced with such a tricky situation, the Creators felt extremely helpless and had no choice but to take extreme measures to quell the storm. They first placed these two powerful beings under strict containment to limit their range of activity and ability release. Subsequently, they made the painful decision to banish one of them to the far reaches of the universe, away from its original galaxy.

The one who was left behind was Primus, who eventually evolved into the planet Cybertron after a long period of time. Because Cybertron was formed from Primus's body, this special environment led to the birth of the unique Transformer race.

The appearance of the Transformers quickly attracted the attention of the Creators. They eagerly observed this newly born race for a period of time, hoping to discover some unprecedented qualities or potential. However, as time passed, the Creators were quite disappointed to find that, although the Transformers seemed different, in essence, they were not much different from many other races.

These Transformers also exhibited greed and belligerence, and sometimes even showed a cruel and ruthless side. Seeing that the race they had placed high hopes on did not show the extraordinary qualities they had expected, the Creator race ultimately chose to abandon the Cybertronians and instead plunged into the vast universe to continue exploring other possible paths of evolution.

At the same time, the Cybertronians were not the only race abandoned by the Creators. In a galaxy not far from Cybertron, there was another planet called Quintessa, inhabited by a group of lifeforms similar to the Transformers.

The Quintessons' civilization was very distinctive; the path of development they chose was the mutual integration and symbiosis of mechanical and organic bodies. However, even this civilization was ultimately abandoned by the Creators.

The Quintesson race highly valued technological research and the maintenance of social order. Wisdom, anger, war, judgment, and death constituted their unwavering core beliefs.

When the Creators left them, some of the Quintessons resolutely embarked on a journey of colonial expansion into the vast universe. In the process of evolution, they also abandoned most of their organic bodies, retaining only the brain and related parts. The rest were replaced with mechanical bodies, resembling a large-headed octopus.
