Chapter 1879 - 443: The Right Remedy for the Problem, Fair Competition (Part 2)
Is it jealousy or hatred from the whole world she invites by wearing this on her head?
She casually asked, "Where is she?"
As soon as she spoke, she remembered Xiao Nan wouldn’t speak, and said, "Bring him in."
Xiao Nan turned around and went out.
Soon, a tall man in knight attire walked in, still wearing that half silver mask on his face.
"What did she go to do?" Yun Ya asked.
"In the drawing room, entertaining guests," the man said in a deep voice.
"Guests?" Yun Ya sneered, "I’ll go have a look."
As the words fell, she turned to leave, but the man extended his arm to block her, "Princess cannot go."
"Get out of the way." Yun Ya gave him a push, the man’s chest hard as iron, making Yun Ya’s hand ache. The man didn’t move an inch; Yun Ya staggered back two steps instead.
Yun Ya curled her lips, "Fine if I can’t go, I’ve been too stifled in the room all day, I can at least go for a walk."
The man pursed his lips and finally stepped aside, "Princess can only move around the second floor."
Yun Ya glared at him, "I’m going to change clothes."
Yun Ya paced back and forth on the second floor, the man following closely behind her, Yun Ya casually asked, "Do you know what gift I just gave her?"
The man remained silent.
Yun Ya didn’t wait for his reply, and said to herself, "Two heads, Bai Xue’s and Dong Xieyou’s. I never thought those two heads could scare her, but she remained calm, surprising me. Isn’t such a woman terrifying?"
Yun Ya spoke as she walked, "She disappeared when I was five. After all these years, I thought she was long dead. Unexpectedly, not only is she alive, she’s doing very well. She watched Yun Shu and Yun Shen bully Miaomiao and me without once lending a helping hand. After I finally defeated them, she captured them and tortured them, spending over a decade just to set up a trap. Such a woman is truly terrifying."
In a past life, Miaomiao and she died tragically, she never appeared from start to finish. Yun Ya’s heart harbored a terrifying suspicion; in an instant, her blood ran backwards, almost unable to breathe.
Maybe... maybe...
Though she had long given up hope, thinking of this possibility made her heart involuntarily ache.
Suddenly, she clutched her chest, knowing she’s courting death but unable to suppress the thoughts wildly growing in her mind.
Seeing her stop abruptly, the man quickly stepped forward, noticing her clutching her chest, face pale, lips turning blue, nails digging into clothes, her flimsy body swaying.
His expression changed dramatically, rushing over to support her. Yun Ya wanted to push him away, but her outstretched hand was limp and powerless.
"What’s wrong with you?" The man, usually calm as if detached from the mortal world, had rare urgency in his eyes.
Yun Ya’s eyes turned red, glaring at him fiercely, with big tears rolling down her eyes, her breaths becoming more rapid, her face whiter. The man was terrified by her appearance and picked her up to rush away.
"You’ll be alright, hang in there."
The man ran and shouted in a torn voice, "Doctor, doctor...."
Yun Ya used all her strength to push him away. In the chaos, she accidentally jumped off him, tumbling to the ground.
The man’s eyes widened in horror, reaching out to grab her, but he was a step too late.
Yun Ya fell, her head dizzy, the sharp voice trembling slightly, "Don’t touch me."
The man was stunned, "You wait here, I’ll go get the doctor."
With that, he quickly ran out.
Yun Ya leaned against the wall, breathing anxiously, gritting her teeth hard, her head knocking against the wall, looking at the strong sunlight outside the floor-to-ceiling window, she chuckled self-mockingly.
She didn’t know how much longer she could see the sun, she might never wake up someday.
That’s good anyway; she had long grown tired of this world...
She began to laugh softly, tears sliding down her cheeks, the pain in her heart slowly dissipating.
Suddenly a shadow swept past her eyes, and Yun Ya’s mouth was suddenly covered. She swallowed her startled cry.
The person gently put her down, stepped back, and respectfully bowed his head, "Miss."
Yun Ya looked at her quietly, her gaze icy, and said nothing.
Mingyue was unnerved under that gaze, unable to suppress her voice, "I left unannounced back then, miss, blame me if you must...."
"Why are you here?" Yun Ya asked coldly.
Suddenly her eyes brightened, "Have you found Miaomiao?"
Mingyue pursed her lips and whispered, "Yes."
