Chapter 103 103: The Devil
Chapter 103 103: The Devil
The Apostle's eyes widened like bottomless shadows. He slowly retracted his blood-soaked hand from his chest, staring at the massive cauterized gash that now marred his torso. The edges of the wound were roasted black, still smoking from the holy energy.
Irritation flooded his entire being. A defiant ray of blood-colored light pulsed from the injury. This battle… it was time for it to end.
Coughing violently, Nadia looked down at her trembling hands. Fresh blood coated her fingers and dripped from her lips. What just happened? Her vision blurred as a warm trickle ran down her cheek. She wiped it away, only to realize it was more blood.
"You are nothing to me, human," the Apostle declared coldly, his voice layered with the Angel's ancient contempt.
Nadia's eyes ignited with true emotion for the first time. Deep within her core, a burning resolve refused to die. I'm not running out of mana yet. Blood flowed at an astonishing rate as her body instinctively absorbed power from her own spilled blood, converting pain into fuel.
The Apostle's mouth twitched with dark pleasure. He savored the taste of her high-level blood lingering in the air. "Good blood," he murmured, looking down at her like a predator eyeing wounded prey.
She tried to steady herself, but her legs gave out. She collapsed to one knee on the blood-soaked ground.
Instantly, Alfonzo's eyes widened in alarm. Throwing caution aside, he rushed toward Nadia, determined to pull her out of danger.
"It's no use, human," the Apostle sneered. "There is nothing that can resist the effects of my blood." He pointed upward at the crimson mist swirling in the sky. "The devil does not forgive."
"Then I will show you," Nadia whispered defiantly, her voice filled with unyielding fire.
She shoved Alfonzo away to protect him and forced herself back to her feet. Raising her blood-stained palm, golden light flared around her once more.
She moved at a terrifying pace. Her blade painted a brilliant path across the sky as she charged. She moved faster than anything should be able to comprehend — yet the Apostle's eyes still followed her every motion with ease.
Bolivian Cut!
An intense sword aura exploded from her broken blade, causing the chipped edge to shine with holy radiance. The clash between them shook the battlefield.
Currently, Maya could not use spirit summoning. In this state, Maya the City Lord remained suspended inside a radiant pillar, her body immobilized to the bone. "What is going on out there…?" she whispered, worry heavy in her voice.
"My child…"
A gentle, ancient whisper reached Maya's ears. It wasn't sound — it was something far deeper. Something she understood not with her mind, but with her heart.
In reality, her eyes squinted, showing a confused expression.
Who are you? She couldn't speak the words aloud, but the voice within heard her clearly.
"There is no time, my child. You need to make haste."
Suddenly, she felt her body surge with foreign yet strangely familiar energy. A warm, comforting power flooded her veins, easing the pain and reigniting her fading strength.
Glory to the Divine One.
Maya's eyes widened. She was speechless, but every word resonated deep within her soul. She honored it completely.
"My child… the water remembers. Follow the path."
The cyan pillar surrounding her suddenly shattered with stunning brilliance. The radiant energy exploded outward, illuminating the entire city. Like a goddess ascending, Maya began to float slowly out of the city manor.
"Stop it! Maya, you will put everyone's lives in danger!" a man named Sorgan screamed in terror. "Our city will go to shambles if this continues!"
"During such crisis you can only think about yourself. How pathetic."

The comforting energy continued flowing through her, guiding her movements. Her broken blade glowed brighter than ever as she rose higher into the air, golden light mixing with the foreign power now coursing through her.
High above the battlefield, Dax's calm expression finally shifted slightly as he observed the new development. Madeka squeezed his hand, equally intrigued.
Down below, the Apostle — still possessed by the Angel — narrowed his eyes at the floating figure. "What new trick is this?" he growled, bloodlust rising.
Kakarai let out a manic laugh beside Alfonzo, while Alfonzo himself clenched his fists, torn between awe at Nadia's new power and frustration at being left behind again.
Nadia hovered in the air, blood still staining her lips and clothes, yet her presence had completely transformed. The foreign energy wrapped around her like a protective embrace, giving her strength she had never felt before.
The Apostle spread his corrupted wings, preparing to intercept this new threat. "No matter what power you borrow, insect… you will still die here."
But Nadia's eyes, now glowing with a mix of golden light, stared down at him with unshakable resolve.
Nadia held onto her blade in a drawing position, head bowed, charging like lightning in a blink. She was gone, tearing through the sky.
"This woman!" The angel growled warily.
Faster than nothing they exchanged thousands of blows with Nadia delivering a dangerous Crescent arc at the angel.
He had never seen such intensity in her. The aura growing with every swing of her blade sent shivers through him.
In the depths of the angel's soul, an ancient old man awoke. "I was born as a devil. I became the devil, and I accepted the devil's wish. Not for a peaceful departure… but to see the world crumble in front of my eyes."
"He is human, and every human is capable of good. That's what she said to me." The image of a huge shadow colored his mind.
"Hah! There is no good in me. I just want that! Humans are too naive. Evil exists everywhere. And in just one of it."
Endless silence.
"Take my soul, oh wretched angel. I am your vessel fully. I am your weapon. Break my soul."
Little from the darkness of his mind, a face appeared. No hair, just a smiling face. He suddenly held his hand, squeezing the soul of the apostle to death.
Just then kakarai began to move with the most devious smile he could muster, one by one he gathered his bodies littering the floor.
Like a monster he now was he swallowed tons of his bodies.
Alfonzo eyes widened on sight. "They are all monsters its delusional to think i can reach their level in one night."
He sighed!
Did i over estimate myself?
——
Ha ha ha , Kakarai pulled at his head in uttter madness backroom mimicking clawed out from his body forming a pillar of bodies.
