Chapter 365: Schemes

Inside a private room within one of the most popular clubs in the capital, there was a group of people that had gathered.

This group consisted of 5 men and two women, each one of them being older than 30 years old. The oldest among them was none than Amos, the leader of the blood Reapers syndicate, 57 years old.

At this moment, the atmosphere was filled with tension, as everyone had furrowed brows, while remaining silent.

"Do you have any thoughts on this matter? Do you think we should continue waiting for a little bit longer, or should we immediately act, so that in case they know something, we can still salvage this chance, dealing some damage to them?" After a long moment of silence, Amos finally spoke up.

Upon hearing his question, nobody immediately responded. Instead, they all thought deeply about it, as they understood the implications of this matter.

They had to handle this issue well, otherwise, the consequences would be that they would lose the advantage that they had already gained for quite some time now.

The thing that had led to this meeting was Bob’s disappearance. Even though he disappeared just the previous day, the loss of contact was something that had alarmed Amos.

The reason why he was so alarmed was quite related to the disappearance of both Nathan and his son, Brian. Those two, after they went to Brenton city, none of them ever returned.

Even though Amos was not on good terms with his second in command, Nathan, that guy was still playing quite a big role within the syndicate. Therefore, his disappearance for quite a long time had already caused some problems within the syndicate.

For now, things were still stable, but who could tell when things would suddenly erupt? So, Amos thought that it would be better to deal with the silent order syndicate as soon as possible.

Bob, a spy that he had managed to plant within the Santos family, was the person that he was putting so much hopes on.

But, those guys, they were acting as if nothing had happened. This was something that brought about another possibility, that was, Bob had not been discovered, but something had happened, which made it impossible for him to be able to reach him.

But, having already invested so much into this plan, Amos was not willing to see things collapse. No matter what, he had to at least make the Santos family suffer some losses.

And that was exactly why they have convened this meeting, to make a decision on this matter.

While Amos was the leader of the entire blood reapers syndicate, times, he had to consult this 4 people, which should have been 5 with Nathan included, for such crucial decisions to be made.

One might wonder, with the blood Reapers syndicate already knowing that the Santos family was the one behind the silent order syndicate, why not eliminate them directly?

It would be quite easy to be able to use some underhanded tricks, to deal with some ordinary members of the Santos family. Considering the cohesion within the family, there was a high probability that one such a method was used, it could succeed.

But of course, there would be consequences after that. That was something that everyone in the underworld understood, which was why, there was an unwritten rule.

That was, never to involve the family members of enemies from the underworld. Even though they were gangsters, vicious criminals, they all were still humans.

With the stabilizing factor of the Santos family gone, it would be much easier to be able to take them down. While Newton was quite capable, he was not as capable as his father.

About a minute went by, before finally, one of the ladies spoke up.

This lady, even though she was in her early 40s, because she had maintain herself quite well, she seemed to be in her early twenties.

At the moment, she was wearing a white blouse, a pair of tight black jeans, paired with white sport shoes.

"Leader, I believe that it would be better if we take action immediately. We have already made so many arrangements, even that, while things have not yet been fully arranged, we can still deal a lot of damage to the Santos family.

The two men simply snorted as one of them, full of beard, responded, "What do you take the silent order syndicate for? Even just half of them, they could cause so much damage for us. By the time that we eliminate them, how much losses would we have suffered?

From my point of view, it is much better for us to wait, until we are sure before taking action.

Additionally, if they already know about Bob being a spy, and them not acting at all, it implies that they might be baiting us.

Even though the lady who had spoken first wanted to argue back, she realized that what this guy had said made sense. But even then, she felt a little adamant.

This guy, he always opposed her. She never liked him, and so of course, she would not agree to what he said.

"Then what happens if that is not the case? If we miss this chance, and the Santos family already being cautious, it will be extremely difficult for us to be able to take down the silent order syndicate in the future.

Getting impatient, Amos immediately slammed his hand on a table in front of him, immediately silencing everyone.
